Myrtle Marie Bledsoe

Myrtle Marie Bledsoe, 73 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Friday, November 20, 2020 at her residence.

She was born May 30, 1947 in Yolyn, WV the daughter of the late Ola “Bo” Browning and Gloria Irene Browning.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hobert & Myrtle Mabry and Myles & Winnie Browning; her in-laws, Leo & Ollie Bledsoe; and her son-in-law, Timothy “Bo” Smith.

Marie loved spending time at Sunset Beach and attending church with friends at Mount Calvary. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Julie and Haili.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Carl Bledsoe of Chapmanville; one daughter, Susan Smith of Chapmanville; one son, Tim (Linda) Bledsoe of Mullens, WV; two granddaughters, Julie Smith (Chris Reed) and Haili Bledsoe; special friend, Pam Conley; and special caregivers, Michelle Mitchell and Debbie Adkins.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Chelsey Noel and Drew Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, WV.

Friends may call Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the Freeman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be members & retired members of the WV State Police.
