Monty “Pete” McCoy, 59 of Big Creek, WV, departed this life on November 3, 2024 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, in Morgantown, WV.

He was born December 21, 1964 in Man, WV the son of the late Lewis “Dude” & Martha McCoy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jean Scarberry, Debbie Epling, and Sharlene Workman, his brothers, Onnie McCoy, Arnold McCoy, Lewis “Bud” McCoy, Timothy “Skip” McCoy, Lonnie “Philmore” McCoy, Frank McCoy, Charlie McCoy and Ance McCoy, his father and mother-in-law, Frank “Cricket” & Della Bryant, niece, Niki Browning and several brothers-in-law.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Pam McCoy; daughters, Latasha “Tosha” McCoy and Brittney McCoy; son, Nicholas (Samantha) Kirk; sisters, Deloris “DoeDoe” Sizemore, Sherri (Paul) Lackey and Sheila (Tom) Christian; and his grandchildren, Isaac, Evelyn, Ariella, and Koen Kirk and Noah B. Alexander.

Services will be held at 7:00pm, Monday, November 11, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Hobert Myers officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
