Minnie Browning

Minnie Browning, 86 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on February 6, 2021 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 9, 1934 in Ranger, WV the daughter of the late John Adkins and Norma Staley Adkins Roberts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Browning, brother, Brady Adkins and grand-daughter, Amy Farris.

Minnie enjoyed going to church, singing in church and spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Wilma (Jack) Kessler of Chapmanville; two sons, Gary (Patty) Browning of Kodak, TN and Larry (Joan) Browning of Chapmanville; four sisters, JoAnn Barrett, Geraldine Grimmett, Glenda Adkins, and Patricia (Junie) Akers; two brothers, Dewey (Bessie) Adkins, and Silas (Loretta) Adkins; five grandchildren, Lisa (Casey) Dingess, Brandy (Dru) Ellis, Allen Kessler, Lucas Browning and John Browning; six great-grandchildren, McKaila (Chad) White, Jayna Copley, Karleigh Browning, Breanna Browning; Levi Dingess and Paisley Ellis; two great-great-grandchildren, Autumn Gilliam and Connor Copley; and her special friend, Elaine Dingess.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Browning and Gary Browning officiating. Burial will follow at the Adkins-Frye Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Friends may call Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
