Mindy Renee Adkins

Mindy Renee Adkins, 42, of West Fork, Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born October 1, 1976 in Huntington, WV, the daughter of Danny and Minnie Evans.

She was preceded in death her grandparents, Melvin and Dortha Kirk and Earnest and Maudie Evans, one nephew, Tracy Dale Evans and her in-laws, Arthur Adkins and Ruth Adkins McClellan.

Renee enjoyed drawing and was like a mother to everyone.

In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Joseph Adkins; one daughter, Haven Adkins; two sons, Joseph Adkins II and his girlfriend, Rebecca Hudson and Jacob Adkins; two brothers, Travis (Lou) Evans and Sherman Evans; one grandchild, Mia Adkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 13, 2019 at Piney Community Church with Rev. Dennie Evans and Pastor Kenny Kirk officiating. Burial will follow at the Kirk Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 12, 2019 beginning at 6:00 pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be Travis Evans, Sherman Evans, Scottie Vance, Scottie Vance II, Joseph Adkins II, Cameron Lacey, Jack Isaacs, and Trevor Payne.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Freeman Funeral Home to help with arrangements.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
