Michael Montgomery passed on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at CAMC General Hospital Charleston West Virginia.

Born on July 10, 1948, to Samuel Elihue Montgomery and Virginia Ruth Brown in Logan West Virginia.

Michael was a graduate of Logan High School. He then went into the Marine Corp where he served in the Vietnam war and later awarded a Purple Heart. He also worked many years as a Coal Miner.

Michael is survived by his wife of 54 years Donna Sue Brewer. In addition to his wife he is survived by their three children Michael Samuel Montgomery (Shawna), Brian Lee Montgomery (Keisha), and Jennifer Denise Garretson (Dino). They have six grandchildren, Brooke (BJ), Logan (Rachel), Heath, Taryn, Kanon, and Amelia. They also have 4 great-grandchildren, McKinley, Mason, Chesney, and Meadow. Michael spent his time enjoying his children and grandchildren. He touched the lives of all who knew him and will 
be deeply missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace, knowing that he lived a life full of love and joy.
