Michael Wayne Browning

Michael Wayne Browning, 64, of Dingess, WV, entered into rest on June 10, 2022 at Pikeville Medical Center, following a long illness.

He was born October 19, 1957 in Logan, WV, the son of the late Wayne & Opal June (Deskins) Browning.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Drema White, Sheila White and Candi Henderson and one great-nephew, Colton May.

Mike was a timber cutter for many years, starting out for Keither and Ken Vance working for Simpkins Lumber for years. He worked for Noah “Bug” cutting timber, working on the sawmill and building houses, and for a short time in the coal mines which he didn't like at all. Mike enjoyed spending time with his friends, which was many, four wheeling. He was an avid squirrel hunter back in the day. Mike was a member at the Freedom United Baptist Church. He was loved and will be missed by us all.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Donald Smith of Harts; grandson, Keith Smith of Harts; and Reanna & Travis Muncy of Lenore who was like a daughter; sisters, Gertie & Noah White Jr of Marrowbone, Brenda & Richard Lackey, Della & Tracey Lackey both of Laurel Creek, and Linda & Dennis Dillow of Dingess, where he made his home for the last 5 years; brothers-in-law, Adam White and David Henderson; father-in-law, Noah White; nieces, Samantha Wilson, Amanda Stepp, Kristy Spradlin, Sheena Barnett, Amber White, Tiffany Bell, Whitney Preece and Kayla Burton; nephews, Josh White, Michael White, Wes White, Nathan May, T.J. Lackey, Sammy White Jr, Kaleb Henderson and Cody Henderson; and twenty four great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm with services at 7:00pm at the Freedom United Baptist Church, Lenore, WV.

Services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the church with Eddie Hatfield and Noah White officiating. Burial will follow at the Browning – White Cemetery, Marrowbone Creek, WV.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.
