Mary Lou Lee Blankenship Jones

Mary Lou Lee Blankenship Jones, 74 of Logan, WV, went home to be with the Lord on October 25, 2021 at Trinity Healthcare Services.

She was born November 8, 1946 in Ethel, WV the beloved daughter of the late Thurmond and Verlie (Workman) Booth Lee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lula Ellen Blankenship, son William Carl Jones, brothers, Kyle Boothe and Johnny Booth, sisters, Barbara Sue Owsley, Ruth Ann Lee Stiltner Smeltzer, Linda Rae Vaughn, and Pearl Claxton and nephews, John L. Booth Jr, David Alan Owsley Soblotne, Brandon Lee Taylor and Jeffrey L. Dingess.

Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a member of The Lord's House in Holden, WV. Mary enjoyed playing on the computer, watching TV, listening to gospel music, and spending time with family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Darrell G. Jones; one son, Thurmond Lewis Blankenship of Taylorsville, NC; one step-daughter, Kathy (Roy) Wolfe of Logan; one step-son, Richard (Maria) Jones of Indianapolis, IN; three grandsons, Matthew Todd (Chenoa) Wolfe of Charleston, Brandon Darrell Jones, and Anthony Gene Jones both of Indianapolis; three granddaughters, Jennifer Podunavac, Joanna Podunavac and Meadow Swan Jones all of Logan; sisters, Judy Lemery of Taylorsville, NC and Gracie Bobbi (Virgil) Akers of Chapmanville; and brothers, Thurmond Thomas (Lena) Lee of Chapmanville, Paul David (Linda) Lee of Whitman and James Robert (Karen) Lee of Charleston.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, at Freeman Funeral Home with Kenny Tomblin officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Friends may call Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Joey Lemery, Brandon Dingess, Chris Lee, Anthony Lee, David Owsley, Pete Conley and Jason Conley.
