Mary Bevins-Scott, 65 of McCarr, KY, departed this life on October 20, 2024, at Logan, WV.
She was born December 10, 1958, in Logan, WV, the daughter of the late Chester and Estel May.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Orville and Hattie Evans; paternal grandparents, Chester and Melinda May; her first husband of 35 years, Curtis Bevins; son-in-law, Art McCoy; grandson, Frankie Gillman Jr. and Daniel Ooten; granddaughters, Faith Gillman and Emily Ooten; great grandson, Theo Williams; her in-laws, Sterl and Queein Scott; and daughter-in-law, Aimee Hensley.
Mary enjoyed living for the Lord, singing, and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Timmy Scott; three daughters, Christina McCoy, Ollie Hensley (Roger Blevins) and JJ Scott; two sons, Bill Hensley and Patrick Hensley; three sisters, Hattie May, Teresa May and Sandy Cummins; two brothers, Larry May and Noah May; eight grandchildren, Michael Hensley, Selena Ooten, Cody Ooten, Lance Sanders, Felicia Sanders, Brandon Sanders, Zackary Williamson and Isabella Williamson; five great grandchildren, Jonah Williams, Elliot Williams, Oliver Williams, Ellie Hensley and Damien Frantz; and her special friend, Steve Hunt.
Services will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, October 25, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home with Roger Ooten officiating. Burial will follow at the Alley Cemetery, Blackberry, Ransom, KY.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 6pm to 9pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Cody Ooten, Zackary Williamson, Steve Hunt, Scotty Clevenger, Matthew May, and Patrick Hensley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry May, Noah May and Roger Blevins.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
