Martha Jones Obituary

Martha Janice Frye Jones, 90 of Stollings, WV, went to be with Jesus on April 25, 2024 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 1, 1933 in Logan, WV the daughter of the late Seaburn and Georgia Frye.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Teresa Jones, daughter Sonya Jones and husband James “Corky” Jones.

Janice was a member of Central United Baptist Church since 2005.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Retha Marcum, Yvonne Sammons, and Leah Jones; sons, Sean (Angel) Jones and Brad Jones; sister, Hessie Marie Frye; brothers, Sam Frye, Jennings Frye, and Garner Frye; grandchildren, Rachel (Randall) Tiller, Chad (Rachael) Marcum, Josh Jones and Brandon Jones; eleven great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank her caregiver, Jennifer Spaulding, Dr. Rahda and Logan Regional Hospice Staff for the care they have given our mother.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Central United Baptist Church with Kevin Conley officiating. Burial will follow at the Frye Cemetery, at Verdunville, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
