Marsha Sue (Adkins) Messer, formerly of Breedon departed this world Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, WV.

Marsha was born June 14, 1962 to the late Freeman and Jenny Lou (Booth) Adkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Messer; sister, Michelle Dawn Adkins; grandparents, Edmond & Reatha Adkins and Pearl Leach; and great aunt, Sylvia (Vessie) Marcum.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Messer; son, Denver (DJ) Messer both of Logan; sisters, Meloney Williamson of Logan; Fannie Adkins Dingess; brothers Freeman (Tina) Adkins of Southgate, Michigan and Cleve Edmond Adkins of Logan; 5 grandchildren, Bella & Chloe Messer and Dillon, Maddie, and Kadience Messer. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Brandon & Juanita Marcum and family, Jason & Amber and family, Joe Marcum, Jennifer, and Jeffrey (BJ) Marcum and family.

She was a home finder for KVC, a social worker for 20 years, and a cashier at Faye and Virgil Grocery for 10 or more years.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 12:00PM- 1:00PM at Freeman Funeral Home

Services will be held at 1:00PM, Monday, April 27, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with James Ed Baisden officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
