Marlene Nora Vannatter Obituary
Marlene Nora Vannatter, 57 of North Fork of Big Creek, WV, gained her angel wings on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born February 20, 1967 Manila, WV to the late Thomas and Mamie (Cooper) Vannatter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Danny, Dewayne and Herman Vannatter and one sister, Ilene Adkins.
To know Marlene, was to love her. She was a very caring, loving, and humble person. She cherished every minute with her family especially her grandkids who were her pride and joy.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Melissa (Justin) Elkins of Conway, SC and Kimberly (Johnny) Fowler of Big Creek, WV; seven grandchildren, Ethan, Nathan, Braxton and Landon Elkins all of Conway, SC, and Katelynn, Aiden and Bentley Fowler all of Big Creek, WV; one sister, Linda Woodrum of Big Ugly, WV; three brothers, Edward (Patricia) Vannatter of Wyandotte, MI, Rexal (Jane) Vannatter of Brownstown, MI and Ernest (Kimberly) Vannatter of Milton, WV; a special nephew that she considered as her own son, Ricky Queen of Surfside Beach, SC; and a host of extended family that she greatly cherished and loved.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Lindoberry, D.O. Of Myrtle Beach, SC and the Agape Hospice for the love and care at the end.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with David Sperry officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Elkins, Justin Elkins, Johnny Fowler, Ricky Queen, Michael Woodrum and Rexal Vannatter.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
