Obituary
Mark Anthony Wood, 59, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at his residence.
He was born May 4, 1964 in Logan, WV, the son of the late Mabel Ester and Arnold Clay Wood II.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his youngest brother; David Lee Wood and his beloved niece Christina “Missy” Elliot.
Mark enjoyed riding fourwheelers, shooting guns, fishing and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Christopher and Justin Wood, brothers; Mike Wood, Craig Wood, and Randy Wood, grandchildren; Emma, Anderson, and Jeremy Weston, mother of his children; Donna (Wood) Murphy.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, May 15, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jerry Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Hurricane, WV.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
