Mark Douglas Stollings, 81 of Henlawson, WV, departed this life on Sunday, August 17, 2024 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

He was born November 28, 1942 in Chapmanville, WV the son of the late Carlos and Susie Stollings.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Farris; one daughter-in-law, Janet Stollings; one granddaughter Renee Hensley; two grandsons, Mark Stollings and Calvin Hensley; three sisters, Cleao Brumfield, Nancey Carpenter, Viola Newman; and one brother Earlos Stollings.

Doug enjoyed playing the guitar, sawing firewood, and working on saws, weed eaters, etc. He also enjoyed making knives, working on trucks. Doug loved the outdoors and fishing.

Those left to cherish his memory include his special friend, Darlene Swims; one daughter Rhonda Bryant; three sons, Mark Stollings, Michael (Jackie) Stollings, and Kevin Stollings; one sister, Myrtle Belcher; twelve grandchildren, Brittany Dingess, Chris Bryant, Alisha Nichols, Shayla Flowers, Kevin Stollings Jr, Josh Stollings, Billy Lipscomb, Bailey Lipscomb, Hannah Stollings, Hunter Stollings, Sarah Adkins, and Zach Adkins; nine great grandchildren, Alexis Stollings, Brendyn Griffey, Braxton Griffey, Bryce Bryant, Wyatt Bryant, Caroline Bryant, Atlas Lipscomb, Aiden Lipscomb, and Kamora Flowers. Special thanks to Jackie, Delphia, Darlene, and Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the Freeman Funeral Home with Tim Messinger officiating. Burial will follow at the Whitt Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
