Madonna F. Akers, 60 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on March 28, 2026 at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV.

She was born October 14, 1965 in Logan, WV the daughter of the late Bobby L.Akers & Jean R. Conley Akers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ulysses & Martha Conley and Vernon & Nora Akers and one brother, Larry Akers.

Madonna loved gospel music and spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Eric U. Akers; sisters, Patricia Wiechman, Helen R. (Lonnie) Conley, Nora M. Adams, Janet S. (Howard) Johnson, Sherry R. Akers and Debra Barnes; brothers, Boyd Akers, Bobby D. (Justine) Akers, Billy J. (Esta) Akers and Terry (Beth) Akers; nana to, Jeremiah, Dustin, Golden “Boo”, Kathy, Chase, Vidalia, Julie, Mackenzie, Debra, Dillon “Little Man, Janie and Rainbow; her caregivers, Madison Blankenship and Kayla Gullett; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, April 3, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Akers Family Cemetery, Lenore, WV.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary pallbearer is Boyd Akers.
