Luna Mae McComas, 88 of North Fork of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on September 2, 2024 at Hubbard Hospice House, South Charleston, WV.
She was born September 16, 1935 in Leet, WV the daughter of the late George & Eunice Peyton Ferrell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William McComas, daughter, Rose Anna McComas, brothers, Don Ferrell and Robert Ferrell and sisters, Ida Corte and Jean Hill.
Luna enjoyed working in the garden, flowers, crocheting, reading and playing with her great grandbabies.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Tamara McComas Hill (Mark) of North Fork of Chapmanville; sister, Avonelle Russo of Mentor, OH; grandchildren, Dr. Holly Anna Hill-Reinert (Shawn) of Ripley, WV and Dr. Chelsey Hill Butcher (Shayne) of Ocean Spring, MS; great grandchildren, Pyper Olive Reinert of Ripley, Winslow Brynn Butcher and unborn of Ocean Springs, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Ronnie Linville, Thomas McComas and Tom Bias officiating. Burial will follow at the the Danville Memorial Park, Danville, WV.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Reinert, Shayne Butcher, Thomas McComas and TJ McComas.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
