Luis Angela Ortiz, 65 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on March 2, 2025 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 7, 1959 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Gilberto & Julia Rosa Ortiz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mamerto Ortiz, Candida Colar Cosme Rosa and Ana Maria Cajiga his sister, Ana I Ortiz and brother, Gilbereto Ortiz.

Luis loved his family and spending time with his dog Queenie. He had a contagious smile and love that caught every ones attention. Luis loved to cook his Puerto Rican food.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Julia Farley, Melissa Adorno, Tiffany Kiley and Celica Ortiz; son, Alan Kiley; sons-in-law, Jonathan Farley and Edwin Adorno; sister, Martha Ortiz Nazario; brother, Edgar Ortiz; grandchildren, Eilijah Adorno, Maci Adorno, Hunter Farley, Baden, Trey and Jase Lanquist, Timothy Rockett, Imani Reevers, his bonus grandchild, Charolette; and special friends, Wanda Maysonet and Miguel Rosado “Chin”.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Michael Browning officiating.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
