Lotus Marie (Price) Martin, 94 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV.

She was born August 28, 1930, in Phico, WV, the daughter of the late Matthew and Bertha Price.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Martin; one grandson, Billy Ooten; one great grandson, Jacob Richards; four brothers, John, Bill, Carl and Jessie; two sisters, Garnet Ritchie and Margaret Workman; and father & mother-in-law, John and Eva Martin.

Lotus enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching the Reds play, bowling, traveling, and having her daily Coke Cola. Lotus was schoolteacher for the Logan County Board of Education for thirty plus years. She was a member of Shining Light Church for over 50 plus years.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Lana (Rick) Pritchard and Barbara (Ronnie) Ooten; three grandchildren, Steve (Dewana) Pritchard, Gwen (Kevin) Wilson and Rhonda (Josh) Farley; seven great grandchildren, Mandy (Jason) Boyce, Stephanie Pritchard, Holly (Shawn) Ingram, Josey (Leonard) Mallol, Shane Wilson, Amber Richards and Colton Farley; five great-great grandchildren, Alonna Richards, Asher Richards, Archer Adams, King Boyce and Lois Pritchard; and a special family member, Mialee Pritchard and Jesse Watts.

Services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home with Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 10:00am to 11:00am at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Richards, Colton Farley, Steve Pritchard and Rick Pritchard.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Ooten and Josh Farley.
