Loretha “Peedle” Johnson, 70 of St. Albans, WV formerly of Logan, WV, departed this life on August 17, 2025 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, WV.

She was born May 3, 1955 in Logan, WV, the daughter of the late Robert Thompson and Ola Marie Marcum.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Johnson and son, Billy Johnson.

Peedle enjoyed going to church, spending time with family and friends, traveling and going to the beach.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Misty (EJ) Clay of Chapmanville; her son, Wayne (Jennifer) Johnson of Chapmanville; sister, Delma Fay Pearson of St. Albans; brother, Clinton (Gail) Thompson of Holden; grandchildren, Shelbi Conley (Thomas), Zach Johnson, Matthew Manns and Savannah Johnson; great grandchildren, Makenzie Conley and Everleigh Conley; and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, August 22, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Barney Goins officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
