Lois "Love" Setser

Lois Lovelena Workman Shadd Setser, 83 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at her residence surrounded by family that loved her dearly.

She was born August 15, 1938 in Chapmanville, WV the daughter of the late Franklin Workman and Myrtle Mullins Workman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Ferrell Shadd.

Love enjoyed praising the Lord, singing gospel music, spending time with family and friends, and loving on her puppy, Lena.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Alfred Setser; two daughters, Carolyn Renee Shadd and Loretta Tammy (Eric) Downey; one son, Scotty Thomas (Tammy) Shadd; one step-son, Earl (Diane) Setser; one son-in-law, Greg Meade; eleven grandchildren, Buddy Shadd, Major Thomas Shadd, Chase Meade, Kayla Drake, Matthew Scarberry, Mark Scarberry, Kaitlyn Downey, Zach Downey, Rebekah Downey, Jennifer Downey, and Hailey Mullins; nine great-grandchildren, Sterling, Easton, Trinity, Iris, Noah, Jayse, Liam, Kylan, and Teagan; special nephew, Phillip Farley; and special friend/cousin, Gene Dingess.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jerry Mann officiating. Burial will follow at the Shadd Cemetery in Chapmanville, WV.

Friends may call Monday, October 25, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Shadd, Chase Meade, Greg Meade, Scott Shadd, Earl Setser, and Jason Setser.
