Linnie Virgil Burton Jr., 38 of Logan, WV, departed this life on January 10, 2025, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.

He was born March 23, 1986, in Logan, WV, the son of the late Linnie Burton Sr. and Karen Sloan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Alisha Runyon and Doris Burton; paternal grandfather, Virgil Burton; maternal grandmother, Maxine Whitt; and uncle, Tom Burton.

Linnie enjoyed fishing, walking his dog and going to church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his fiancé, Hope Hart; daughters, Elizabeth and Destiny Burton; paternal grandmother, Patricia Atkins; aunts, Marleen Burton, Etta Burton, Barb Burton and Melinda Combs; uncles, Tim Burton and Ray (Donna) Whitt; best friend, John (Kayla) Skeans; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home with Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Burton Cemetery, Chapmanville, WV.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
