Lettye J. (Hensley) Hamb, 67 of Logan, WV, formerly of Richmond, VA and Bridgeton, NJ, departed this life on July 31, 2020 at her residence.

She was born January 1, 1953 in Logan, WV the daughter of the late Manuel Hensley and Neary Bell (Vance) Hensley and step daughter of the late Lissie Mable (Lambert) Hensley.

In addition to her parents and step-mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Vera Hamb, four brothers, Leon, Freelin, John B., and Harmon Hensley, one sister, Thelma Sue (Hensley) Strunk and three step-brothers, Eugene, Odell and Earnest Lambert.

Lettye enjoyed reading, singing, spending time with family, making people laugh and doing nursing.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Carolyn Texie Hamb of Logan and Tonya C. Varney of Ripley. WV; one son, Clyde (Randy) Varney of Logan; two sisters, Alma L. Hensley and Kathleen Varney of Logan; two grandchildren, Tyeka La’ta (Aaliyah) Johnson and Da’mon James Hamb; a close family friend, Donnell Hogan of Richmond, VA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
