Leonard Lambert, 79 of Ranger, WV, departed this life on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at his residence.

He was born May 28,1946 in Sand Creek, WV, the son of the late Ernie and Dora Lovejoy Lambert.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Vance Lambert; father in law, Columbus Vance; mother in law, Nancy Vance; brothers, Hielee, James, Ewell, Raymond, Alvie; and sisters, Kessoleen, Juanita, Peg, and Gerldine.

Leonard loved being a child of God and loved watching his kids and grandchildren. He really loved watching them hunting and fishing. He loved playing guitar and singing and scaring the kids. He loved his family with all that he was.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Donna (Bob) Christian and April (Jason) Harden; son, Hielee (Stacy) Lambert; grandchildren, LaCrisha, Paige, Cora Beth, Ryan, Caleb, Braden, Brice, Brett, Paisley, Trevor, and Kristie; great grandchildren, Carolina, Maxtin, Gator, Bre, Knox, Hudson, and Harper; honorary great grandchildren, Allie, Blake, Lauren, Emma, and Jax; and a lot of special people in his life.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11:00am, May 1, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Eric “Tubby” Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at Nestor Cemetery of Harts, WV.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
