Lela Patricia Clark

Lela Patricia “Patsy” Clark, 96 of Chapmanville, WV departed this life on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at her residence.

She was born March 17, 1927 in Micco, WV the daughter of the late Walter P. and Olive Steele.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Buck” Clark; father and mother-in-law, John Clifford and Eva Jeffrey Clark; son-in-law, Jerome Dingess; brothers, Walter Steele Jr, John Steele, and James Steele; and sisters, Virginia Hutcherson, Ruby Perry, and Margaret Fleming.

Patsy loved going to church while she was able, quilting, cooking, and loved her family deeply.

Those left to cherish her memory include four daughters, Veda Dingess, Patricia (Harold) Fleming, Jeanetta (Lyle) Pridemore, and Mary Evelyn (Mark) McCoy; three sons, Danny (Debbie) Clark, James (Charlotte) Clark, and Chris (Alicia) Clark; three sisters, Mary Farmer, Frances (Sam) Carper, and Olivia Vogel; one brother, Donald (Audra) Steele; grandchildren, John Eric Clark, Rebecca (Phillip) Viar, Adam (Kayla) Dingess, Daniel (Amber) Dingess, Jamie (Ernie) Marcum, Tammy (Josh) Artist, Ben (Jen) Pridemore, Jeremy Pridemore, Mark Pridemore, Michael Clark, Jessica (Jody) Harless, Markie (Matt) McCoy, and Cameron McCoy; 21 great-grandchildren including one special boy, Eli Justice; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 6:00 to 9:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the funeral home with Jody Harless officiating. Burial will follow at the Steele Cemetery, Chapmanville, WV.

Pallbearers will be grandsons

Honorary pallbearers will be nephews
