Laura Fillinger, 71 of Harts, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Cabell Huntington, WV, with her family by her side.

She was born August 1, 1954, in Logan, WV, the daughter of the late Clarence “Red” Browning and Barbara Marsh Browning.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Marsha Lynn Fillinger and Melinda Gale Fillinger; one grandson, Daxton Reynolds; two sisters, Joyce Utterback and Kay Walker; one brother, Dale Browning; and three brothers-in-law, Raymond, Dink, and Ronnie Fillinger.

Laura enjoyed spending time with her family. She was the light of any room, and a joy to anyone who w blessed to be in her presence. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 55 years, David Fillinger; two daughters, Melissa (Ray) Dillon and Brittney (Chris) Eplin; two sons, David Fillinger Jr. (Tonya) and Justin Fillinger; two grandchildren that were raised as her own, Cortney (Khaleel) Reynolds and Walter “Bubby” Elmore III; the rest of her grandchildren, Ashley, Beth, Shane, Jaylin, Carter, Parker, PJ, Katee, and Paul; 12 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Donald (Anita) Fillinger; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Ralph) Barker, Sue (Marion) Morris, Dottie Colston, Judy Fillinger, and Patty Fillinger.

Visitation Services will be on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
