Obituary

Lacy Earl Workman, 75, of Pecks Mill, WV formerly of Big Ugly, WV, departed this life on May 29, 2022 at his residence.

He was born July 21, 1946 in Ona, WV, the son of the late Hassell Workman & Laura Baisden Workman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Woodrum Workman, son, Monnie Workman, sisters, Mary and Pearl, brothers, Herb, George, Hughie, Dave, Bill and Leroy and father and mother-in-law, Monnie Woodrum and Sonia Vannatter Woodrum.

Lacy was a longtime volunteer Fireman, EMT and coal miner. He was a Bishop and member of The Church of Jesus Christ in the name of Latter-Day-Saints. Lacy loved to hunt, fish, camping and on go on vacations.

Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Sonia (Jeff) Lambert; two sons, Lacy Earl Workman Jr and Lawrence Scott Mullins (Monica); three sisters, Birdie Ferguson, Suzie (Doug) Viars and Dolly Clay; one brother, Hobert Workman;  ten grandchildren, David Scott, Jonathan, Jeffery, Kaylee, Patterson, Sada, Monnie Dean, Christopher, Tiffany and Shelby.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home with President Eddie Toney officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
