Kenneth Raymond Burns

Kenneth Raymond Burns, 81, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on May 16, 2020 in Chapmanville, WV. 

He was born June 13, 1938 in Houston, TX, the son of the late Turner Ardath Burns and Bessie Faye Gill Burns. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma and one brother, James. 

Kenneth enjoyed gardening, fishing and animals. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Iris Burns; two children, Bobby Burns and Ladale Otts; several siblings; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Due to the CDC and the State's recent mandate on public gatherings, related to COVID-19, only 25 people or less are permitted at the services. 

Services will be held at 12:00 pm, May 22, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at the Spence Family Cemetery, Griffithville, WV. 

Visitation will be on May 22, 2020 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
