Keith Alvis Vance

Keith Alvis Vance, 49 of Chapmanville WV, departed this life on April 7, 2024.

He was born March 8, 1975, in Madison, WV, the son of Donna Kay Vance and the late Lewis G. Vance Sr.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvis and Elizabeth Vance and Fred and Faye Snow.

Keith was a Proud Coal Miner from a long line of Coal Miners and was truly proud to carry on the family tradition. He had a smile you could genuinely feel. When he was around it was all laughs and love. His eyes were as blue as the sky and his heart was as big as the tires he could fit on his truck. Keith had nothing but love for his family. He made sure they knew it anytime he was with them. He would hug you so tight you could feel his heartbeat. He loved working on vehicles, he knew no matter what, he could make it work, even if it meant pulling some deep miner tricks to make it happen. He was at his happiest when he was with his family. Remembering Keith will always be easy. From his smile to his jokes, Keith will always have a special place in our hearts. “Alvis” as his nephews would call him, will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving mother Donna Kay Vance of Chapmanville, WV. Brother, Lewis (JR) and Stephanie Vance of Chapmanville. Nephews, Joshua and Destiny Vance of Chapmanville. Adam and Jadalynn Vance of Chapmanville. Great Nieces and Nephews, Marlee Marie Vance, Daxton Ray Vance, Brinley Ann Vance, and Ayden Lewis Vance. And a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday April 13, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home with Jason Blankenship officiating.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the Freeman Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at the Vance Family Cemetery, Frances Creek, Harts, WV.

Pallbearers will be Josh Vance, Adam Vance, Billy Vance, Chris Dalton, Rook Brumfield, Herbie Bryant, Johnny Pruitt.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
