Katie Frye Wiley

Katie (Frye) Wiley, 80 of Turtle Creek, WV, departed this life on May 25, 2021 at her residence.

She was born March 9, 1941 in Harts, WV the daughter of the late Woodrow & Ada Amburgey Frye.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Wiley, two sisters, Arizona Johnson and Mallie Vance, two brothers, Luster Frye and Ted Frye and one grandson, Spencer Ray Wiley.

Katie enjoyed raising a garden, growing flowers, taking walks, going to church, singing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Colleen Wiley Craig and Dreama Wiley Gore; three sons, Barry G. Wiley, Paul D. Wiley and Luster Ray Wiley; two sisters, Georgia Frye Manns and Tammy Frye; four brothers, Paul (Parsie) Frye, Willie (Edith) Frye, Frank (Evelyn) Frye and Claude (Wanda) Frye; grandchildren, David L. Hunter, Nathan A. Hunter, Katie N. McCoy, Barry Wiley Jr, Timothy Wiley, Kayla Wiley, Josh Wiley, Justin Wiley and Gary Osbourne; great grandchildren, Jaycee R. McCoy, Presley Crum, Kori Curm, Kiara Nagel and Earsta Bailey.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Mountain Wiley Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Pallbearers will be Barry Wiley, Paul Wiley, Chris Jeffrey, Larry Adkins, Frank Frye, Timothy Wiley and Katie Gore.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
