Judith Ann (Trent) Browning

On Saturday, November 18, 2023 our world got a little darker, but Heaven got a little brighter. Our precious mother, grandmother, sister and friend got her Heavenly reward, quietly surrounded by her family that loved her dearly.

Judith Ann (Trent) Browning, 82 of Logan, WV, was born September 3, 1941 at Ethel, WV to the late Leonard and Lexie Trent.

Being raised in the coal camps of Ethel she met many friends that kept in touch through the years. In December 1959 she married the love of her life Noah Browning. Together they raised three kids that she loved with all her heart, Keith, Barry and Sherri. Her whole life revolved around her kids that she truly adored. Not only was she a mother first, together with her husband they owned Brownings Exterminating Company and Brownings Auto Sales. Family always came first. She loved riding motorcycles with her husband, camping, reading her bible and having her grandkids that loved her so much by her side.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Browning, her son, Keith Browning, her grandson, Brandon Browning, her sister, Yvonne “Dood” Trent and her brother, Johnny Trent.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Barry Browning of Logan, WV; her daughter, Sherri (Rodney) Nelson of Chapmanville, WV (for over 41 years Rodney was her other baby); her sister and best friend, Bonnie (Steve) Podunavac of Henlawson; brothers, Gene (Kathy) Trent of Henlawson and Jim (Robin) Trent of Henlawson; her grandkids that she adored, Brandie (Clyde) Adkins, Brittney (Steven) Mullins, Justin (Kortni) Nelson, Cody (Hannah) Browning, Zachary (Skye) Browning, Amy Beth Browning and Kory Browning; her great grandkids that held the keys to her heart, Mackenzie (Dallas) Adams, Devin Tomblin, Arioanna Miller, Trent Browning, Luke Browning, Nicolette Viars, Marlie Nelson, Kolton Mullins, Elliot Lesher, Jerzee Browning, Tripp Browning, Jaxson Dingess and Claire Browning; and coming in March her great-great grandbaby that she was anxious to meet, Sadie Ruth-Ann Adams.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the funeral home with Joey Kennedy and Rev. Dennie Lambert, Jr officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Justin Nelson, Cody Browning, Zachary Browning, Kory Browning, Devin Tomblin, Trent Browning, Luke Browning, Dallas Adams and Kolton Mullins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Podunavac, Steven Mullins, Clyde Adkins, Steve Viars and Mickey Browning.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
