Josh David Chafin III, 74 of Logan, WV, departed this life on May 5, 2024 at his residence.

 

He was born November 19, 1949 in Holden, WV the son of the late Josh David Chafin and Mable Glen Chafin.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Chafin, and Mike Chafin and his sister-in-law, Kathy Chafin.

 

Josh enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the Atlanta Braves play.

 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Antoinette Chafin; daughters, Maristella White (Brandon, who was like a son), Jennifer Holbrook (Andrew), Christina Perry (Daryll) and Rachel Blaisdell; son, Josh Chafin (Amber); sister, Dreama Chafin; grandchildren, Mariah White, Nathan White, Kristin Flint (Wes), Briana Holbrook (Brian), Kyle Holbrook (Alexis), Ryan Chafin, Chloe Chafin and Lillie Chafin; great grandchildren, Remington White, Gavin Flint, Kylinn Holbrook, Sterling Holbrook, Mikell Murray and Waylon Cobbs; and his special friends, Bruce Holbrook and Joe Wilson.

 

Per his wishes his body was donated to Marshall University Medical School. Services will be held at a later date.

 

Josh will be missed by all that knew him.
