Johnny Allen Mullins Sr. 72 of Harts, WV departed this life on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 peacefully at his home surrounded by family. He was born January 15, 1949 in Logan County, WV, the son of the late Jessie and Earsie (Tomblin) Mullins and son-n-law of the late Howard and Georgia (Dingess) Dalton.
He was a retired coal miner of 37 years, a member of the UMWA, and of the baptist faith. He was a SP-5 US Army Vietnam Veteran of the 1st FLT PLT and 13th Aviation Battalion, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Vietnam Service and Campaign medal.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons Ryan Chance and Wade Patrick Mullins, a special brother-n-law Jimmy G. Dalton, brothers Joseph, Freelin, William “Tommy”, and Benjamin “BF” Mullins, and sisters Bonnie Meeks, Jane Williamson, Nellie Paschall, and Frances Mullins.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Narlene (Dalton) Mullins, two sons Johnny Allen Mullins Jr. of Harts, WV and Andy (Alicia) Mullins of Prichard, WV, two granddaughters Harper Penelope and Hazel Patryce Mullins, Hudson “Little Man”, one brother Warren Mullins of Harts, WV, and two sisters Ethel Williamson of Reynoldsburg, OH, and Olga Coots of Columbus OH.

Services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, November 19, 2021 at High Adventure Church in Harts, WV with Pastor Van Collins officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Gardens, Chapmanville, WV.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 6:00pm until 10:00pm at the church.
Pallbearers include Greg Bryant, Lucas Bryant, Brian Garrett, Timmy Napier, Wendell Perry, and Bryan Rollins.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
