Johnnie Lee Wiley, 79 of Harts, WV, departed this life on April 1, 2026 at Trinity Healthcare of Logan.

He was born October 31, 1946 in Harts, WV the son of the late Roosevelt & Hester Nelson Wiley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Violet Wiley; grandparents, John & Lizzie Nelson Wiley, and Hurston & Viola Lovejoy Nelson, sisters, Linda Wiley, Bessie Irene (Clarence “Tag”) Dalton and Elsie (Herbert) Estep, and his brothers, Earnest (Silva) Wiley, Jesse (Rose Mary) Wiley and Franklin Wiley.

Johnnie enjoyed rabbit and coon hunting, trading, talking on the phone and telling tall tales.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Ona (Arlie) Dalton of Harts, and Della (James) Noll of Branchland; brothers, James Odell Wiley and Bill (Becky) Wiley both of Harts; sister-in-law, Ann Wiley of Harts; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, April 6, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Wiley Dalton Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Porter, Elvie Vance, Kevin Wiley, Darian Dalton, Phillip Wiley and Cyrus Adams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Wiley and Lukas Adams.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
