Johnnie Pem Faine, 70 of Crooked Creek, WV, departed this life on April 5, 2026 at his residence.

He was born April 19, 1955 in Crooked Creek, WV the son of the late Daniel Sr & Loraine Faine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pem Layne & Laura Hunt and Riley & Sarah Faine, brother, Daniel “Doodle” Faine, Jr, nephew, William Dakota “Kody” Faine, special great nephew, Aaron Terry, father-in-law, Clarence Nance and mother-in-law, Ruth Nance Rice.

Johnnie loved God and loved teaching about Jesus. He also loved his family, motorcycles, traveling the world and camping. Johnnie was a coal miner and pastored the Peach Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 54 years, Beverly L. Faine; daughter, Deborah “Debbie” (Richard) Greene; son, Daniel “Danny” (Debra) Faine; sisters, Jeanetta (Mickey) Bello, Pam (Donald) Queen and Sarah (Curtis) White; brothers, Marvin (Linda) Faine, James (Sharon) Faine and Timmy (Kim) Faine; grandchildren, Daniel (Jaicee) Faine, Adriana (Ryan) Dunsworth, Gabriel Herrera, Noah (Isabella) McNeely, Jeremiah (Tori) McNeely and Jacob Jenelos; great grandchildren, Eleanora Mae Faine, Kinsley Shae McIver, Elliott Grace Dunsworth, Izon Lee McNeely, Jolene Suzanne Faine, and Mia Rose McNeely (on the way); a special great nephew, Kendrick Laine White; special niece, Jackie Nance who was like a daughter; nieces, Maria (Shenon) Wright, Christi (Cardale) Baisden, Angie (Brian) Terry, Sandra (Greg) Vance, Courtney Hoosier and Rosie Fox; and nephews, Curtis “Bub” (Sarah) White II, Mickey (Regina) Bello II, James (Jessica) Queen, Michael “Pike” (Cindy) White, Andrew Faine, Silas Hoosier, Mike Nance, and Christopher Nance.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Walt Grimmett, Bazzil Goodman and James Vance officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 13, 2026 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Issac Faine, Gabriel Herrera, Noah McNeely, Jeremiah McNeely, Jacob Jenelos and Daniel Leland Faine.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Kirk, Robert Marcum, Dominic White, Andrew Faine, Caleb Vance, Dylan Vance, Brian Terry, James Queen, Michael “Pike” White, Curtis “Bub” White and Mickey Bello II.
