John Scott Keyser

John Scott Keyser, 47, of Logan, WV, departed this life on April 30, 2021 at his residence.

He was born November 25, 1973 in Hamlin, WV, the son of Garnett Keyser of Harts, WV and the late Moses “John” Keyser.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Keyser, grandparents, Earnest & Mamie Fortner and Wilson & Causby Dalton Keyser, and his father-in-law, Bobby Cook.

John enjoyed being a dad, working, playing basketball, fishing and spending time with friends.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Katherine Hannah Mae Keyser and Emilee Dawn Keyser both of Logan; one sister, Rita Keyser of Harts; one brother, Wayne Keyser and his wife Nancy of Rustburg, VA; two nephews, William and Dakota Stokes of Harts; three nieces, Hailey Keyser of Rustburg, Amber Stokes of Harts, and Bethany Harless of Phico; brothers-in-law, Earl “Red” Pruitt of Logan and John Harless of Ranger; his mother-in-law, Kathy Cook of Logan; and his special friends Eric & Debbie Dewire of Charleston.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Eric “Tubby” Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at the Browning Cemetery, Manns Knob, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary pallbearer will be Earl “Red” Pruitt.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
