Jody Ryan Adkins, 37 of Accoville, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born August 23, 1988 in Logan, WV the son of Sherri Farmer Stollings and the late Rodney Adkins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donna Lou Adkins, David Adkins, and Kathleen “Kathy” Whitt; his son, Bentley Ryan Adkins; his aunt, Melissa “MeMe” Kolovich; and uncles, Aaron Stollings and Samuel “Sammy” Adkins.

Jody loved spending time outdoors, riding 4-wheelers and dirt bikes, music, and spending time with family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Sherri Farmer Stollings; his grandfather, Curtis (Maxine) Stollings; fiance, Jordan Copley; daughter, Kaylynn Adkins; sister, Kierston (Kyle) Ellis; brothers, Damian (Ashley) Adkins and Caleb (Monica) Ellis; cousins, Shania (Cody) Curry and Autumn (Devin); nieces and nephews, Audreona “Gracie” Adkins, Alexis “Shae” Adkins, Asher “Reese” Adkins, Harper Mitchell, and Maddox Ellis; and family friend, Samantha Blankenship.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Lucas Cemetery, at Greenshoal, Harts, WV with CD Wolford officiating.

Pallbearers will be Damian Adkins, Caleb Ellis, Kyle Ellis, Josh Davis, Travis McCallister, Cody Curry, and Jaylen McCants.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
