Jimmy Dale Ray

Jimmy Dale Ray, 34, of Dingess, WV, departed this life on August 30, 2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 24, 1986 in Williamson, WV, the son of the late John and Marcella Ray.

Jimmy was a hard working man who loved and took very good care of his family. He had many friends who he loved like family. He enjoyed spending time with his fiance and children.

Jimmy is survived by his loving fiance Elizabeth Bryant, who was to be his wife on September 12, 2020. An adoring father to Marcella Elizabeth and Johnathon Alexander who loved their daddy “forever”. He is also survived by his brothers, Matthew Ray of Dingess and Rocky Ray of Johns Creek, Ky; special nephew, Toby Ray of Dingess; nieces, Chloe Ray and Summer Ray both of Dingess; brothers-in-law, Danny “DJ” Bryant of Walnut Cove, NC, and Dylan Conley of Chapmanville; mother-in-law, Lori Gore of Stony Creek, VA, father-in-law, Danny Bryant of Madison; and his special friends, Aaron Marcum, Jerry & Ann Vance, and Derik Harmon.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Van Collins officiating. Burial will follow at the Bryant Ridge Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 6, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Derik Harmon, DJ Bryant, Aaron Marcum, David “JR” Belcher, Carl “Grumpy” Bryant, and Dylan Conley.

Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers, Matthew and Rocky.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Freeman Funeral Home to aid with funeral expenses.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
