Jewell Vance, 72 of Madison, Ohio, departed this life on June 12, 2024 at her home.
She was born February 7, 1952 in Logan WV, the daughter of the late David Messer and Evelyne (Hensley) Messer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother (Steven) Michael Messer and sister Katie Bryant.
Jewell married her forever love, Richard, on September 26, 1970. Together they had two daughters, Katherine (Darryl) Lamiell and Tonya (Tony) Cipolletta. Jewell spent her days as a homemaker, tirelessly working to make their house a home, ensuring their home was always clean, and their family was safe and fed. Jewell loved spending time visiting with family. In between visits, she enjoyed keeping in touch by telephone with a phone call every couple of days to make sure the kids and grandkids were doing well. In her free time, Jewell enjoyed listening to music and has passed her love of all music on to her daughters.
In addition to her husband and daughters, those left to cherish her memory include grandchildren Nicholas (Amber) Donato, Courtney Donato (Tommy), Brandon Donato, Nathan Poitras, and Justice Lamiell; great grandchildren Jibri and Koa; brothers Oscar Hensley and James (Mary) Messer, sister Sadie (Teddy) Browning; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and family friends.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Guyan Memorial Gardens, Pecks Mill, WV.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
