Jessie Louise (Watts) Propst Obituary

Jessie Louise Watts Propst (“Louise”), 93, of Bluffton, South Carolina, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 13, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, perseverance, wisdom, and unconditional love.
Born to Jess Watts and Victoria Flannery Watts, Louise lived a life defined by devotion to her family and unwavering faith. She was the beloved matriarch and cornerstone of her family, whose influence extended across generations and a wide circle of extended family and friends who dearly loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Propst; her parents; her brothers, Johnny Watts, Robert Watts, Ernie Watts, and Glen Watts; her sister, Debbie Hamrick; her daughter-in-law, Redith Propst; and her great-grandson, Noah Michael Propst.
A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Louise’s faith guided every part of her life. She found joy in sharing God’s Word and encouraging others through kindness, generosity, prayer, and steadfast trust in the Lord.
Louise faced life with grit and perseverance, meeting challenges with strength and determination. Those who knew her remember her as a woman of remarkable strength, resilience, and personality—firm in her convictions, steadfast in her faith, and deeply loving toward her family. She also possessed a gentle spirit that brought comfort to those around her, and her wisdom, warmth, and presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Above all, Louise treasured her family. She was a trusted advocate, confidante, and source of strength, often the first call in times of celebration, uncertainty, or need. Her influence extended beyond her immediate family to a wide circle of extended family and dear friends who considered her family.
She is survived by her children, Michael Propst, Steven Propst (Sheila), and Lynn Propst; her grandchildren, Amy Propst, Chad Mathis, Brent Propst (Brooke), Kelly Alexander, and Chad Saunders; and her great-grandchildren, Chase Saunders, Aubrey Alexander, Brock Alexander, Preston Propst, Sara Propst, and MJ Propst.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Tony Christian Fellowship Church, 312 McClellan Highway, Harts, West Virginia.
