Jesse Adams

Jesse Adams, 65, of Accoville, WV, departed this life on February 6, 2020 at his residence.

He was born September 22, 1954 in Holden, WV, the son of the late Dave & Myrtle Sturgill Adams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Edna Dempsey, Milton Adams, William Adams, Danny Adams and Betty Gilman, his in-laws, Woodrow and Audrey Keyser and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Barbara Dingess (Stephan) Solanics, Tommy Thacker, Susan Keyser and Ralph Kolovich.

Jesse enjoyed fishing, music at Pickin' in the Park and spending time with family and friends. He loved fellowship, and going to church at the Woodyville Community Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cheryl Mays Adams; one son, Michael (Amanda) Varney; two step-daughters, Mistel (Mark) Wiant and Cindy (Davy) Martin; one step-son, Chris (Lori) Mays; six sisters and brothers, Mary Bridgette (Randy), Janice Adams, David (Rose) Adams, Bobby (Kim) Adams, Lina (Julius) Young and Donald Adams; two grandchildren, Michael Varney Jr and Jonathan Varney; six step-grandchildren, Kira (Ducky) Adams, Kaleb Owsley, Ethan Mays, Evan Mays, Elijah Wiant, and Zach Martin; a step-granddaughter on the way; his best friend Cletis Pritchard; and his in-laws, Martha Thacker, Delores (Herman) Clay, Patsy (Roger) Bailey, Danny Keyser, Woodie Keyser and Janet Kolivich.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, February 9, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Sid Moore officiating.

Visitation will be on February 9, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
