Jason Kent Sheppard, 51, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on May 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Jason was known for his quick wit, boundless humor, love of music and fiercely stubborn spirit. He had a unique gift for making people laugh, even in the toughest moments, and his larger-than-life personality made him impossible to forget. Whether he was cracking a joke, telling a story, refusing to listen or offering a helping hand, Jason brought warmth and joy to those lucky enough to know him.

Jason is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Linda Thomas, whose memory he carried with him always in addition to his loving father Freddy Sheppard, his grandparents Clifford and Betty Farmer, Violet Sheppard, his mother in law Priscilla Frye and one special angel baby Shaelynn.

He is survived by his brother: Jamie Sheppard and his loving children: Mika (Tiffany) Sheppard, Kayla (Timothy) Sheppard, Kendra (Carl) Blankenship, Jessica (Jessica) Kitchen, Haley (Tyler) Moore, Emily (Trevor) Adkins, and Jason (Tangelia) Sheppard. He was a proud grandfather (poppy) to Grayson, Remington, Daxtyn, Xavier, Vivian, Lexus, and Shelby. Jason also leaves behind a host of cherished friends and extended family members who will deeply miss his infectious spirit and endless energy.

Though his time with us was cut short, Jason’s laughter, strength, stubbornness and love will live on in the hearts of those he touched. His legacy is etched in the smiles of his grandchildren, the positive stories shared around family tables, and the countless moments of joy he brought into the lives of others.
