James "Jim" Harrison

James “Jim” Harrison, 74, of Logan, WV, departed this life on April 25, 2021 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 27, 1947 in Logan, WV, the son of the late Richard and Juanita Wilburn Harrison.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Estil & Edna Wilburn and John & Ada Harrison, one brother, William Harrison and his father and mother-in-law, Elwood and JoAnn Sloan.

Jim enjoyed joking around, making people laugh, playing pranks like plastic wrap on the toilet or taping the sink sprayer, and he liked fishing. Jim loved spending time with his grandsons, wife, and daughter.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Cora “Pete” Harrison of Holden; one daughter, April Harrison Estes and her husband Shane of Fort Wayne, IN; two grandsons, Jacob Sloan May of Holden and Matthew Harrison Trosper of Fort Wayne, IN; and nephew, Ralph Joseph Spangler of Columbus, OH.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Curtis Gibson officiating.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at the funeral home.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
