Obituary

James David Meade, 61, of Dingess, WV, departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 9, 1961 in Logan, WV, the son of the late Arthur Meade and Norma Meade Ooten.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence Nelson and Charles Meade and a very special nephew, Lance Farley.

James was an auto mechanic by trade. He especially loved visiting with family and friends. James enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Susie Meade; his children, James Garrett, Jessika Powers and Austin Marcum; grandchildren, Jensen, Jodah, and Liam; and his brothers and sisters who loved him dearly, brothers, Danny (Doris) Meade, Toby (Charlotte) Meade, Rick (Shelia) Meade, Tom (Lisa) Farley and a very special twin, John Darrell Meade, sisters, Sue (Terry) Baisden, Norma (Timmy) Deskins and Rose Hamrick; a host of nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Gary Damron.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Mount Hope Freewill Baptist Church at Dingess with Elbert Collins, Jr officiating. Burial will follow in the Nelson Family Cemetery, Kirk, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
