James Ernest Lucas, 57 of Lincolnton, NC, departed this life on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at his residence.

He was born October 18, 1967, in Logan County, West Virginia, the son of the late Ernest Lucas and Peggy Carole Finley Lucas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Teresa Lucas and Sabrina Lucas.

James was a member of Springs Church of Lincolnton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two aunts, Shirlene (David) Kimbrough and Delice Cremans; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Receiving of family and friends will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 1:00pm to 1:30pm at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden, NC.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, June 13, 2025, at Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Springs Church – 687 Springs East Rd. - Lincolnton, NC 28092.
