James Farris

James Farris, 51, of Big Creek, WV, departed this life on April 22, 2021 at his residence.

He was born December 23, 1969 in Logan, WV, the son of the late Greenway & Louise Caroline (Hatfield) Farris.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Zelma Thompson, two half sisters, Shelby Marcum and Sandra Bocook and two half brothers, Bobby Farris and Arnold Farris.

James enjoyed driving coal trucks, and spending time with his kids and family.

Those left to cherish his memory include four daughters, Samantha Rhodes, Jamie Farris (Phillip), Brianna Dingess and Nevaeh Farris; two sisters, Tammy Farris and Lisa Farris; three brothers, Charles (Betty) Farris, Larry Farris and Jackie Farris; and three grandchildren, Nathaniel Rhodes, Easton Vickers, and Aiden Dingess.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Farris Family Cemetery, Smokehouse Fork Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Dingess, Austin Dingess and Phillip Dingess.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
