James Earl Ellis

James Earl Ellis, 68 of Logan, WV, departed this life on August 18, 2025 at his residence.

He was born October 3, 1956 in Logan, WV the son of the late Earl Ellis and Gladys Ellis Grimmett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Angela Ellis and a baby daughter that passed away at birth, sister, Carolyn Marcum, and half brothers, Wryatt Robinson and John Grimmett.

James enjoyed watching wrestling. As many people that knew him he was known as Goldberg or Waffle.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sisters, Gladys (Donald) Adkins and Lola (Bill) Browning; a special niece that took care of him Darlie Gearhart; and a host of other nieces and nephew.
