Jacob Lee Richards

Jacob Lee Richards, 30, of Pecks Mill, WV, departed this life on March 12, 2023 at his residence.

He was born May 22, 1992 in Charleston, WV, the son of Jerry Lee Richards and Rhonda Farley and her husband Josh.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Richards, great grandmother, Irene Mullins, and two uncles, Stevie Richards and Billy Ooten.

Jake enjoyed fishing, riding ATV's, taking the tractor for joyrides, and remote control trucks. He loved being outside and spending time with his family and friends. Anyone that knew Jake loved him, he was well liked and loved by many.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his grandparents, Ronnie & Barbara Ooten and Clara Richards; the mother of his children, Jesse Watts; one daughter, Alonna Richards; one son, Asher Richards; one sister, Amber Richards; and one brother, Colton Farley.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at Whitt Cemetery, Crawley, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Johnson, Jake Craddock, Ryan Dingess, Blake Whitt, Timmy Dingess, and Chris Adams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Richards and Berthal Richards.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
