Jackie Ray Harmon

Jackie Ray Harmon, 85, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on May 4, 2022 at his residence.

He was born March 5, 1937 in Chapmanville, WV, the son of the late Charles & Marie Harmon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Sharon and Martha Harmon, one daughter, Jacqueline Harmon, two brothers, Dave and Bill Harmon,, one sister, Peggy McCormick, two brothers-in-law, Larry Adkins and Jerry Woodrum and his father and mother-in-law, Carmel & Rebal Adkins.

Jackie enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and eating ice cream with his great granddaughter, Kenzie.

Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Charlene (Mickey) Adkins; two sons, David Ray Harmon and Robert Harmon; three sisters, Janet Miller, Delta (Sherman) Dowdy and Hattie “Toots” Vance; three brothers, John (Kay) Harmon, Kermit Harmon and Charles “Junior” Harmon; three grandchildren, Crystal (Dwayne) Fleming, Joseph Messer and Martha (Wesley) Oliver; and two great grandchildren, Kenzie Fleming and Adrian Oliver.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Monday, May 9, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home with Ronnie Linville officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 8, 2022 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
