Jack White, 89 of Charleston, WV formerly of Boone County, departed this life on April 5, 2026 at the Harmony Assisted Living Home in South Charleston, WV.

He was born October 27, 1936 in Wharton, WV the son of the late Ivan and Mary White.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth, Joyce, Doris and Sue.

Jack was a Sargent in the United States Air Force working in intelligence. He worked in the Department of Highways for 35 years and later he was an Assistant for the Deputy Secretary of Transportation. Jack lived a virtuous life filled with love, kindness, respect and joy. He touched many hearts and will be deeply missed. His spirit will forever inspire those who knew him. May he rest in peace.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carol White; daughter, Renae White; sons, Jon White (Lori Brink) and Randy Captain USAF Ret. (Janice) Ball; sisters, Becky Heater and Connie Dent; grandchildren, Marshall White, James Ball and Mitchell Tewksburry; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Randy Ball Captain USAF Ret. officiating. Burial will follow at the Memory Gardens, Low Gap Road, Danville, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
