Iva Adkins, 90 of Harts, WV, departed this life on May 14, 2025 at his residence.

He was born January 26, 1935 in Harts, WV the son of the late Millard and Myrtle Adkins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, JR Adkins and one daughter, Michelle Adkins Cooper.

Iva enjoyed working outside and his horse.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sharon Dalton Adkins; two daughters, Greta Fry and Cynthia Murray; three sons, Michael Adkins, Mark Adkins and, Carl Byrge; son-in-law, Gary Cooper; two brothers, Milard Adkins Jr and Roy Adkins; thirteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Michael Browning officiating. Burial will follow at the Farley - Brewster Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
