Iris Williams

Iris Williams, 89, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born October 10, 1928 in Ferrellsburg, WV, the daughter of the late Pat and Eva (Brumfield) Kirk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin Kirk, Susan Kirk Farris, Bill and Tiny Brumfield, her husband, Henry Williams, one sister, Lois Burton, four brothers, Buster, Lawrence, Shelby and Ray Kirk and her father and mother-in-law, Roy and Ollie Williams.

Iris enjoyed singing with the family, visiting family, teaching school, shopping and eating out.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Karen Williams Brumfield; one sister-in-law, Orpha Kirk; one grandchild, Jon Browning; three great-grandchildren, Brookelynn, Jeremiah and Braxton; and her caregivers, Gracie Vance, Delores Adams, Donna Farley Riffe and Diane Richards.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Triplett officiating. Burial will follow at the Kirk Williams Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 6 – 9 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
